Core Team, Kitchen Krew & Lifeteen Band

Adult Opportunities to Minister to the High School Youth

The Kitchen Krew is established out of a need to provide a "practical" hospitality of food to the LIFETEEN Community. It is a great opportunity to meet other parents and to develop a deeper relationship with them through Christ.
The Kitchen Krew is both challenging and rewarding. Those who serve accept Christ's challenge in the gospel to "feed His lambs". The rewards of accepting that challenge can only be appreciated by experiencing it.

The LIFETEEN Youth Ministry includes and is supported by an adult Core Team who assist in the planning and implementation of LIFE Nights, fund raisers, retreats and as Confirmation Catechists. They devote their time and energy by being present to the needs of teens in a loving and giving way.

The Core Team is a group of highly dedicated adults who demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, an unconditional love for teenagers, a love for the Catholic Church, regular participation in Sunday worship, a personal prayer life, and an openness to using the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Core members are an intertwining link with the priest, the youth minister and the young community which they serve

St. Peter Catholic Church is a community of believers who gather around the table of Jesus Christ our Lord. We are nourished by the Word of God, strengthened by the Eucharist and challenged to live the Gospel by discipleship, giving freely of our TIME, TALENT and TREASURE in service to God and one another.

The purpose of the LIFETEEN Band is to inspire the congregation to sing: to use our voices, hearts and instruments to lead people closer to our Lord, Jesus Christ. We choose music that connects with the congregation’s hearts and spirits, with the aim of strengthening each parishioner’s personal relationship with God.

Members of the band must have desire and commitment to serve the youth and parish in the Music Ministry and feel comfortable with Praise & Worship music. Band rehearsals begin at 4:00pm on Sunday afternoons. Mass begins at 5:00pm.
Members 18 and older will be required to complete the Diocesan Safe Environment requirements which include: Background Screening, Code of Conduct, and Virtus Training.
A volunteer is someone who shares time in service to others when they are able. A person in ministry understands the notion of service to God and others and shares their TIME and TALENT with COMMITMENT. To join the band please complete the information sheet and speak with Dr. Gonzalo Gonzalez at 567-575-0837 x210.
